Unique

     to the AREA

Uniqueness is what makes things special. This area has many charming attributes that are easily missed, but add flavor to the Juniata River Valley experience. The small community of Allensville, on Route 655, always has the most beautiful public flower displays. All of the power poles in town are hung with stunning baskets and the areas without power poles have large galvanized watering tubs filled with plantings for everyone to enjoy. The job of keeping them looking so nice all summer long is done by a local Amish greenhouse owner who drives throughout town on a tractor watering and fertilizing them on a regular schedule.
